Position: Supply Primary 1:1 Teaching Assistants
Location: Thornbury, Gloucestershire
Salary: £80 - £95 per day
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join Ivy Resource Group. You will work closely with a specific student, providing individualised support to enhance their learning experience. Your role will involve assisting with academic tasks, promoting social development, and ensuring a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- One-on-One Support: Work closely with a designated student, tailoring your assistance to their unique needs.
- Assist in Learning Activities: Support the student during lessons, reinforcing concepts and encouraging engagement.
- Behavioural Support: Implement strategies to manage behaviour and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff members to create a holistic support network.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Qualifications: A relevant teaching assistant qualification is advantageous.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team and follow guidance from teaching staff.
- Empathy: Compassion and understanding for students' individual challenges.
- DBS Certificate: A valid DBS certificate on the Update Service (preferred).
